How do I setup AN1 on dataloggit to accept wideband?

Ok I searched the forum extensively and could never find the anwers to all my questions that were clear. I am hooking up my Innovate wideband to my pfc and here is how it is hooked up: The red wire on the analog output of the wideband is put into the AN1 on the box, the plain copper one(Ground?) is in the 0V on the box. I have the Innovate programed so that 1.000V=10.00AFR and 5.000V=20.00AFR. First of all is this correct? Second is how do I set up the dataloggit to read the voltage signals and turn them back into AFR's? I can't find anywhere on any of the datalogit's screens to put in a conversion or polinomial. I appreciate any help I can get.

Often, you connect the WB + to AN1 and the WB ground to AN2. That is how I have my TechEdge WB hooked up, and seems to be the common approach to get rid of errors from a ground that floats a bit.

I forget the exact names of the menu options to setup the poly in FC-Edit, but you get there from the menu --- Setup or something like that. There's a checkbox to read AN1 - AN2 and a spot to enter a linear scale or a poly. I think the linear scale might work for you, but if you need to use a poly (from memory -- so check this out before you trust it), it's:

A/F ratio = ax^2 + bx + c, where x = AN1 - AN2

Thanks so much for the reply. That is exactly what I was looking for. It is nice to have such knowledgeable to help those of us that are less fortunate(not smart). I'll give this a try tonight.

So did that work? I've also got the LM-1 but I haven't tried to hook it up to the datalogit yet.

Yea I acutually had problems with the primary (red) output not working. For this reason I set the second output on the LM-1 to 1=10 and 5=20 AFR and it worked like a champ. You have to go into the setup on the dataloggit and choose the AN-1 function and set it the same way and check the box that says ax^2 + bx + c, where x = AN1 - AN2. Easy as pie and now I am off tuning.

P.S.--> I came in second in my regional SCCA event today in the SM2 class. First place was a 500 hp Vette with 11 1/2 slicks on the rear. I was the only one in the class not running slicks.

Outstanding! (that is on the event and on the info)
I'll have to try this out in a couple of days.

Have you been able to log your runs and stuff?
I'm just starting to learn this whole tuning thing... Since I've had Garfinkle show me the basics, it hasn't been that bad. I just had to get over the fear of toying with it...lol

Thanks!

Oh it is easy. The hardest part was to setup what watches and maps I wanted on the screen. It took me like 30 min to setup the graphs and stuff like I wanted. the wideband hookup and setup was simple with a little help from you all on the forum. So thanks for the help. Good luck.

Does anyone knows the poly settup for Zeitronix wideband? It uses the Bosch Wideband O2 sensor ?

AFR Graphic
http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/V_AFR.jpg

AFR = -0.3481V^6 + 3.4583V ^5 -12.813V^4 +22.269V^3-18.043V^2 + 7.4273V +
8.8711

I'm unfamiliar with math! Zeitronix have sent the output formula but I really dont know how to solve this equation. I simply need the A, B and C.

thanks

Chuck and Kyle wrote a nice doc about pre-tuning setup:

Wargasm wrote a nice doc on real tuning techniques that you can use with the Datalogit:
