How can I set the self learning mode again??

Hi I just received the Power FC but the manual was in japanese. I just start the car for a few minutes and took it for a drive. Now I found that I should perform a self learnign on the computer. Is there any way that I can re-run this again? I do not have the datalogit for now. thanks!!!!!!!

yeah. there is a thead in the 3rd gen section for it. it takes about 30 minutes.

basically start the car, let it idle for 10 minutes w/ no accessories on.
then turn on the rear defroster, and let it idle for another 10 minutes.
then turn on the a/c, and let it idle for another 10 minutes.
then turn on the headlights and let it idle for another 10 minutes.

it will probably feel a little rough for a couple of hours after that till it figures itself out. but that worked for me.

so you basically let your car idle in one spot for 40 minutes? DAMN.... also... as you turn on the excess stuff... do you turn on by adding each accessory? or do you turn one off, and then do the next?

If you are looking to initialize data and then start a self learning process do the following:
1. turn key to on mode, but don't start the car.
2. go to the initialize menu and select yes. (in jap)
3. after selecting this turn the car off
4. start the car up again and all will have been resetted
Hope that helps
Edwin

Yep. But the end result is worth it, trust me.

Yes. You turn off each accesory, then turn on the next one.
