Why dont you just do the coil mod off of Banzai racing? You need two trailing coils and follow the write up on there.

there's no reason to use FD ignition components in an FC.

We have the FD coils in our Vert 13b-re project, simply because there is space to mount them under the TB. To install the coil pack requires you to wire in an FD igniter, there is a how-to on our website for this also. Unless you have all the parts and connectors we do not recommend this install, it is a lot more complex, with absolutely no performance gains... The only reason I did it was to prove it could be done and clean up the engine bay a bit.

Additionally the FD coils have been known to overheat and fry, this is why you will see the common upgrade for the FD is to install an FC leading coil.

If you do use the FD coil pack, remove the leading coil and replace it with the FC leading coil. The FC leading coil is better than the FD leading coil. Only requires a little cutting/grinding and glues it in place with much silicone.

I did this to my FD pack and still can swap the FD coil back if needed.
