HArness Question

Hello All,

A few months back Installed the PFC, and just did it as a direct replacement of the OEM ECU.

I think 2 weeks ago, I actually read the FAQ for this and in it, it tells you to pull out 4 wires from the harness because the PFC doesnt use them.

Now I have been running the car with out those wire removed, and I haven't noticed any ill effects.

Question, is this really necessary? Since the PFC doesn't use them?

those wires are for the Accelerated warmup system and a couple other emissions solenoids. If you have those systems removed/nonfunctioning I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you cut the wires or not.

In the FAQ it tells you what they are, and I already read that. That wasnt the question.

It was a hint and should lead to a logical answer which I have also posted before.

Thanks,

I was just asking to see if having them plugged in would give out any "false positives" to the FC.

I will let them be.

a friend of mine installed his PFC without cutting the wires. He ran it for a very long time like that... the car idled like crap, surging randomly and doing other weird stuff. (although it had other tuning issues which were worked out at the same time that he removed the wires). I also remember some other people posting at some point that they had idle problems.

If you lookup what the four wires control, non-CA cars would be affected by only one of them. CA cars would be affected by posible two.
