I need a new ecu since i just swaped in a NEWmotor along with a single turbo and with the works!..When i order my power fc most places offer base tunes for my setup...is that tune good enough to drive my car around (not boosting at all) just to get a some miles on the motor before it goes off to the dyno and gets its final tune????

Think about the differences in power being created when the engine is idling, cruising, and full acceleration. Have you ever heard of someone blowing an engine while idling or cruising or light acceleration?
Correlate that to you sitting, walking, and running. Which of the three is hardest on your body and might cause you problems? That is assuming the engine or you are in decent shape.

Most maps are SAFE for idling and cruising if the injectors are properly setup.
The PFC base mod map is usable for most modified engines for your needs.

Any supplied base map will need tuning for your specific car, however a base map will allow you to get some break in miles on the new engine.
