Fuel Temp Sender resistor

Has anybody chopped out the connector for the fuel temp sender?

I've done it on mine while tidying up the loom for a single conversion. I need to put a resistor in to clear the error that the PFC is now throwing up ( I don't think there's a way to disable it, even with the Datalogit). Trouble is I dont have the sensor anymore to measure the resistance. If anyone's done this to their loom, what spec resistor did you use?

thanks,

Steve

The sensor is the same as the water temp sensor.

Then using our logical skills:
(1) in the manual (section F), look up where it shows how to test the sensor.
(2) choose a resistance in the middle of the range.
(3) continue with the logical process.

Many questions can be answered by studying section "F" of the manual.
The FD (3rd gen) fourm lists where you can download them.

Found it (and some spare time!). If anyone looks this up in future, you need page F-40 of the manual.

thanks again for the pointer Chuck.

Where is the error showing up? I don't have a sender and I don't have a resistor in it's place either, but other than the commander showing it on the sensor page, it doesn't seem to have any other effect. Chuck, does this lead to any issues?

Normally no, but you have to set the DL Settings 2 Inj vs Fuel Temp for 60C to 1.00.

My ISC worked until I removed my FTS but probably a conincidence. Since then I have installed a resitor just to please the PFC since this is a major sensor.
