Datalogit install

Inspired my moconnor in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...alogit+install
I decided to do a similar thing but with 2 usb port to connect to my wideband LM-1 and another for connecting to my datalogit.
Wideband and datalogit are also connected together.

Turned out nice! How did you attach the ports on the back side of the panel?

Took a piece of plastic about 50mm by 25mm and 3mm thick then dremiled 2 holes the size of the usb ports and plastic welded them inwith them protruding about 2mm, then just cut 2 holes again the size of the usb's and plastic welded the lot to the back, its very sturdy and the usb's dont move at all.

Make sure you give yourself pleanty of clearance as the ecu and plastic tabs that the grommit goes in gets in the way.

Offer it up lots of times before you commit as i only just made it work for me.

Good thinking Steve.

I do not keep my wideband in the car, but years ago installed a remote connector for the commander/DL on the passenger side of the tranny tunnel.

I liked the idea so I did the same, only i used a laser to cut the holes to the excite size and deminsions. I opted to put it on the side instead of the front like Veger did cause I think it's stealthier. I also only used one port instead of two.

Next, i'm going to cut out a hole and mount a perma connector for the commander, so I don't have to have it connected all the time, and can plug it in at any time.

Very nice and neat.
I didnt have the luxiary of a laser to cut mine so i ended up using a file and drill.
I wanted 2 ports so i could log via my wideband and logworks at the same time as fc-edit, guess i like to compair data and make sure they marry up, also logworks is kinda usfull to log via line graphs.

looks like your side pannels are in better shape than mine as well, But like i say very neet.

You could use a couple of flat head flush black screws so it looks real neat and tidy Though good job regardless
