'fuel' highlighted in the sensor menu?

I did a little search and concluded that this is referring to the fuel temperature sensor, which is apparently located on the secondary fuel rail. I'm running a kgparts rail and wondering if there are any real negative side affects of just leaving it like this? since it apparently is used to change the amount of fuel ever so slightly if fuel temp goes up, I'd like to make sure that there aren't any incredibly negative side affects of letting it chill as is. I'm reading 4.98v on the commander..

So long as the car is properly mapped it shouldnt be an issue. I've been running without the sensor for 3 years.

DL Settings 2, did you also change the INJ vs FUEL Temp 60C value to 1.00?

for those of you that have it unplugged, does the exhaust temp warning light come on? seeing as how the sensor is obviously not there?
