The days of
are gone:
But not only the error reporting has been improved but also the error detection.
With the last version, as well as with FC Edit, you could open a DAT file and do the following:
In the upcoming version a warning would be reported and you can then choose to continue or cancel.

EXCELLENT work FastHatch! I was just amused remembering when you first posted on this forum, I didn't want to trust you with my PFC.....now, as time has passed, I don't trust Edit anymore and I'm waiting with great anticipation to turn all my tuning over to Tune!

Of course you also have to turn off ignition idle control.
At least I'm pretty sure that was the case. Been a while since people were discussing it.....

Thanks...
I think the skyline pfc is fairly limited. There's no option to turn off ignition idle control. When idling the pfc uses its internal value and ignores whats on the map until you tap the accelerator then it uses the ign values on the map.
I'm now running the Rb26 pfc in my gtst; the gtst's std ign timing is 15degree's BTDC where as the Rb26 pfc has a base of 20degree's. So for now I've set the cas to 15degree's and pushed in 5degree's to the whole map. It works but not as tidy.

There are two different PFC types.
One has a "idle ignition control" function where you can set the ignition timing for the target idle speed. The PFC then automatically adjusts the timing to stabilize the idle speed.
The other PFC type has a table where you can set 2 RPM breakpoints and ignition timing.
I need to verify this, but IMO the models with a pressure sensor have the idle ignition control feature and the models with an air flow sensor the table.

Hey FastHatch,
I tried to use FCTune on my PFC for an SR20DET(SR20DET1 V. 3.01) with the FC Datalogit and there was a message about the PFC not being recognized. I have scanned the PFC. Would you like the scan? I would really like to try this software out.
Thanks,
Jazz

FastHatch,
How exactly do I get the logging function to work on version 0.713? I've been trying for a while but couldn't get the graph to show more than one channel.
What I tried was select the channels I wanted to see in the Channel Selection screen, added them to the right side and picked FD3S from the pull down menu. But after I get out from there and click on Graph, only the RPM graph is shown. How do I get the other data to show on the graph? Please help. THanks.

Hello FastHatch,
Can I choose whatever AUX input for TARGET AFR tuning?
I currently installed two seperate O2 sensors in two different locations on my car.
Cylinder 123, and 456 are totally seperated, I need to monitor each two outlet seperately.
Cylinder 456 O2 sensor is connected to AN1-AN2 and cylinder 123 O2 to AN3-AN4.

I'm currently making some necessary changes:
- Large changes to support other (especially older) models
- Make the code portable to other CPUs than the x86
- Make the code portable to Linux (except the UI)
- Writing automated tests to ensure everything works as expected and that changes don't break anything. (For example open a file and then save it and compare them for equality)
Unfortunately I'll need about another 4 weeks to get a new version ready.

p.s. What is the minimum PC requirement to run the new version of fctune?
or is it just faster the better?

Gentlemen, i'm no computer programmer. But i am soon to be receiving my Datalogit, and can then scan my R32 GTR PowerFC. As i understand it, there isn't an FCTune for that PowerFC yet.
If i do a scan of the PowerFC, is it a big task to then do an FCTune version for the R32GTR powerfc? Hoping somebody can help out.
