exhuast burn your eyes. 2 lean or rich?

ok so i been on this build for 5 years so car sat not running for 4+ years. anyway Im running t-66 v-mount stock 550 pri and 1680 sec inj straight 3" exh pipe to thermal reshearch muffler and a pfc. I just put car back together and it was running really rich even at idle black soot around tail pipe and bumper and bad smell of raw fuel and car would idle hunt at stop signs for ever until finally settling down to about a 1000 rpms........... so i being the f^&*($ing smarty i am go in and adjust air bleed screw, tps idle set screw and now the car burn your eyes really bad like its lean (i think) oh ya and i lowered the inj map % around idle rpm/load and put it bak to where it was before problem and still problem presist as well as seems to fall on its face around 2k rpms durring light acceleration ????????? sorry not an english major by no means hope you guys can help me. thank you and yes i read alot before posting

needs a tune and a TPS adjustment.

eyes burning is usually due to overly rich conditions in combination with retarded ignition timing, ie you finally got the car to go into 5/20* idle timing and now the overly rich condition is more apparent. the hesitation at 2k RPMs likely is a mapping issue.

if you have a datalogit save the map and initialize the PFC, it should run fine with the stock base map out of boost until you can get it tuned.

I found something else..... You know the thermal wax thing on the throttle body I dont think its working properly because if I turn the screw all the way in durning the night it runs fine and all the way out durring the day it runs fine no more bucking still feels like its retarded below 2k rpms but I think that is due to it being tuned for the twins right and thats when it stated getting boost before????

Thanks for all your help and support w/out people like you I would have never got this car back together.....

missed that it was running a single with upgraded IC, yes you will likely need to take some fuel out in the lower range depending on the turbo and efficiency of the rest of the IC system. with the single T66 it won't be nearly as responsive below 3k like it was on the twins so be prepared for that.

The map you posted is the correction map. What you need to do is verify the basemap tab has data that is realistic. The correction map can be all 1s as long as the basemap is configured correctly. Connect the datalogit to the powerfc and do a read all and then click file->compare with the stock maps included with the FC-Edit software under the basemap tab.

I wanted to say thanks for all the advice and support I recieve from this site and the people on here as well. In this case my problem was all in the tune and I wasted countless hours of research and tinkering but in the long run I should have just tuned the car to start with..... Lol it runs like a rapped date now though. Look on pump gas and 13 psi of boost....:::: ear to ear smile all the way home until I seen the puddle of oil under the car right below the turbo ( drain line from turbo I think) :-(
375 up 299 trqe thanks again
