Dyno graph

Here's one of my latest dyno graphs, showing the differences between the PFC and M2 stage 3 ecu...as well as the MP and hi-flow cat. As you can see, on my car, the MP did nothing for HP and torque until after 6500 rpms, where you need the straight through flow. Also note the staging of the turbos with the PFC give more area under the curve and no boost spike like the M2 did..thats how it got the high torque number of 292.

The PFC and MP combined definitely improved both your middle and top end torque. A very good combination!

That's me tinkering with the fan in front. I'm going to try to see what I can do with fuel and timing in the 3K and 3.5K range next time I'm on the dyno as well as making sure I'm not on the edge AF ratio-wise. I have always thought that the engine was strong..considering I'll get -470 to -475 at idle (760 rpms since thats what its set at in the PFC). It does still worry me with the excellent data you have posted since you have tested your car the way we all really need to. I am hitting 100% duty cycle at a little over 12 psi, but like I said, it does read .95 to .97 on the O2, but the uncertainty of it makes me hesitate taking out any more fuel. I'm going to be adding the 1300 secondaries and will need some more wideband tuning with them as well to bring down those duty cycles.

Tim,

Your power dropoff is so dramatic about 6500 that there may have been more contributing than just the midpipe. Did you swap the M2 ECU with the PFC and the midpipe at the same time? I'm just wondering if the M2 was too rich up there and there was possibly some misfire or just an overly rich mixture causing the power to drop so much.

I don't drive the car that much and it has been a while since the hi-flow cat run was done. The only difference between runs is the PFC and the M2 ecu stage 3, hi-flow cat and a resonated MP. I'm kinda **** about keeping things the same except for what I'm changing so usually I'll change out the plugs, put my old stock rims on the car since all my dyno runs were with them. Maybe the hi-flo cat was starting to clog. As far as the top end, I have semi new KV85 plug wires (15K), hks ignition system (which made the entire curve move up to where it was on that run, no change in the curve with the HKS unit, same top end drop off with it as without it), and new plugs (under 1k on them every time).

Tim,
Please explain a little more about the effect you attribute (or not) to the HKS unit
when you said, "hks ignition system (which made the entire curve move up to where it was on that run, no change in the curve with the HKS unit, same top end drop off with it as without it)"
