dumb question -what are your vacuum readings at idle?

i'm paranoid, what would a healthy engine get in mmHG? at say 7-8 hundred rpm.

Without electrical load and at operating temps, I'm at 480-490 at 800-850 rpm.
Non-ported but rebuilt a year ago at KDR.
With A/C on, it will go down to about 440.

i was just confuzzled about my conversion measurements. i get about 430 at idle, which is like 16.7 inHg. thats on a KD rotary streetport. figure thats good enough for a ported engine right? my boost gauge is malfunctioning a bit as it disagrees with the pfc
when in doubt, go with the more expensive equipment!

airborne - I think goodfellasfd3s or someone had a poll regarding vacuum. You may want to try searching for it. It may give you some good info.

I thought for a street ported engine anything around 15"-16" + is good which is like 380mm to 405. At 800 idle I'm getting about 400 so I'm happy (I THINK ) and its consistent with my turbo gauge.

I think you want more like 18" for non ported engines.

There's threads about this.
