Devices for logging from DL
I finally installed PFC and DL, and an AFR monitor and went autoxing today.
The problem is - monitors (the commander and the AFR) are of very little or no use while autoxing. I used the hold function on the commander to check the extreme values reached in a run, but have no idea of what happened during the run.
As I understand it the only way to log from the DL is by using a PC. I searched the forum and found some talk about connecting a Pocket PC or to an AIM monitor but with no conclusion.
Are we indeed constrained using a notebook, or are there other solutions available?
Thank you.

yeah a laptop will make life much easier. Extra RAM will help.
I have my laptop charger setup with a power inverter connected to a relay so when i turn the key on, my laptop charger is on. the laptop is also setup so when the lid is closed it doesnt shut down or hibernate, this allows me to place the laptop easily behind the passenger seat and continue logging,
My next installment will be a micro bluetooth dongle with a remote bluetooth program that allows me to use my cell phone to start and stop logging. also have plans to make a laptop holder out of a spare center ashtray i got from a forum member.

Thanks for the input.
I asked because I could not find a practical way of securing my laptop and still being able to use it, i.e. start/stop logging.
I would be interested to learn more about the bluetooth device you mentioned.
I found out I can secure pretty well my notebook to the passenger seat by using straps that loop around the seat and in between the laptop hinges, but the straps end up also covering part of the keyboard.
Besides, I am not so sure that I would pass tech - I'll find out next weekend.
That's why I asked if anyone had developed any interface to use a PocketPC or similar. But it appears this is not the case.
I was also looking at the Eee Asus with SSD which is small and light.

this is the software for the bluetooth remote control. Currently i use it to change the songs and volume on the computer. It has an area where you can program special keys to certain buttons. such as F1 and F2. Setup correctly you can pretty much navigate your whole computer from your cell phone. Pretty neat really
