Commander LCD Brightness - How to increase or modify?

Hi,

I have dismatled my commander (separated the screen from the keyboard) and am due to install this into a din plate I have made.

BUT.................!

The brightness is the major issue I have. When turned up to max I really cant see much of the display in the dark.

How can I modify the lighting to increase this? I have seen on this forum a blue screen that someone used to change both the colour and brightness but there is no mention as where to buy this LCD backlight.

I have the screen apart now and have no concerns over soldering or modding this along as I can get something to do the job.

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Catch.

I'm not very gifted when it comes to electronics. For me the screen brightness is fine at night. But some sort of hood that will fit on the commander holder for bright days and not look cheezy would be a groove.
