Changing battery with PFC?

I have asked this before and never really got an answer. If you disconnect the battery does it reset the PFC to the base map?

It will have to relearn idol however... BUT If you hook up a 12 battery charger to the power and ground wires before pulling them off so you can keep power to them while the battery is disconected and then install the new battery and reconnect them you can avoid this too...

Just try not to short anything out while doing this, use a friend...

thanks for the tip. this is the kind of answer I wanted, though I may not hook up the charger, I think it is important to know that it will have to relearn the idle. I was thinking of replacing my cruddy, huge (though functional) battery with an optima for purely asthetic reasons, but I may wait now until I have to.
