Car running strange
So when i start my car in the morning it sounds good. Smooth, crisp, with a quiet whistle on top. (sorry can't think of any way to describe it) If i do a WOT run it too is smooth, no shaking, knock sensor usually stays below 40. -No- backfiring.
Other times the car runs like warmed over ***. It sounds like a mildly cammed piston engine, rough, with a deeper tone. WOT runs introduce some vibration through the chassis & steering but knock stays under 50. Backfiring happens often esp. under decel.
Idle is the same.
My only ideas are that it's a sensor. Any other thoughts?
Streetport(?), cheap-*** intake mod, DP, HF Cat, 3" cat back, PFC, poor mans'

Maybe and intermitant ignition problem with a loose wire/connector.
Sometimes it makes good contact, and other times it does not.
Check out the complete ignition system wiring, and electrical path from the battery.

Haven't gotten to that yet but i noticed it seems to happen less now that i've switched the "sequential turbo operation" to -off-. once again- this could all be in my head.
That brings me to my next point. At the track with sequential operation on boost was solid, it didn't fall, it didn't creep. WOT all the way down the track. When i turned sequential operation off i'm back to controlling boost with my right foot when i'm driving on the street not even at WOT.

I have had a similar problem for about 2 years now, but a little worse. My car feels like I'm towing a a car when I hit boost. Its very intermittent, but I know when the car is being affected, the idle is lower and ruff, if I hold the rpms up they will drop with out me even moving my foot.....really sucks keeps me from driving my car.

Thanks for that NESpeed, i was hoping i wasn't crazy.
I have a wideband coming and i'll be getting new plug wires soon. So hopefully i'll be able to tell if the burn is different and the plug wires were probably due for a change anyway. Nothing seems to be loose but I'm going to re-do my grounds because I don't like them. I'll get a ground kit soon too... FD = money pit!

Mine seems to be the ignition....I watch it through my commander and I can see my ignition numbers are off.....even sometime when I play with the plug where the commander plugs it I can here the car skip a little. I'm really lost on what mine could be. I don't have anyone close to swap a different ECU with, reason I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now.
