Its best to leave the thermomax and the ISC imo.

anyway i'll remove the cam in the thermowax saturday morning. thanks again for that info on the thermowax
If you do not have A/C then it is pretty easy to remove the ISC and maintain a decent idle. The A/C puts too much load on the engine to be able to compensate without the ISC. Any decent tuner can make the car run perfectly without the ISC.

I prefer to leave the thermowax intact as there really is no performance gain to removing it. However I find myself constantly finishing jobs that were only half completed. The fact is that cars start up and run easier with less water temp correction and "baby sitting" with the thermowax in place.

Just because someone *can* make an engine run perfectly w/o ISC why would you want to? I am not being argumentative just curious... when I bought my car the ISC was removed, and I was able to make the idle fine *most* of the time, but there were still times it was a pain especialy in stop and go traffic heat soaking and coming down to idle quickly sometimes it would mis on FC recovery and lead to a stall I guess I could have raised my FC recovery point, but I like it low because I hate how rich the PFC runs under full vac (~13.5:1), but I actually bought an ISC valve and isntalled it, I figured no reason not to have feedback control of idle when conditions change...

i never said i want to remove it (ISC). i asked if i should remove it (ISC).
my thermowax is remove and the is no turn back since i putted jb weld in the hole ( i forgot it was a coolant passage)
so i'm gonna have to deal without the thermowax. i did also removed the cam previously,i when to verified this morning.
my goal was to make my FD as simple as possible, because my FD is a week-end / race track car for me
i never removed my ISC because i tought i was important to maintain my idle.

hi guy. i was able to start the car again. deflooded plus, put o2 sensor off and ISC off but still plug, but doesnt always buzz. im still trying to find the idle. i restart the PFC and try the self learning way but didnt work. i guess im gonna have to bring it to a tuner. ( i wanted to be at lease able to do the idling part)
thanks anyway

People remove it for 2 reasons. They occasionally fail (or the owner thinks it failed) so instead of spending money to replace it (or look into the problem), they just eliminate it and others just like to simplify things and don't care how there cars run as long as it runs.
