Only the IOGEAR one has a built in buffer, that is why it is better.
The other is only a cable.

funny you posted that, it's the one I got from walmart like 5 years ago to use with my megasquirt...
So far I've used it on the MS and PFC, 5 differant laptops with XP and 7 and have never needed to load extra drivers.

I can never get the blue ended longer cables that the other guys have to work (and I told scott I think they suck anyway)

I got mine from walmat but I just looked and they don't carry it in the store anymore.

Cheapest one available( I bought an ebay one for 4.99 shipped.. all drivers are relatively the same just make sure the com port used for the adapter and the one the FC Edit are the same and its good to go..
