basic, advanced
I searched but nobody really gave a definite answer, what is the difference between basic and advanced for the sensor logging in the dataloggit? Which should i use?

The DL manual describes all the options for logging and details them.
The MONITOR screen where you select them also lists what they log.
And you said you searched, or is it you don't comprehend what the parameters represent?

what i meant is that i wanted to add some watchs for example and i didn't know if i needed to use the advanced water temp or the basic water temp, the advance rpm or the basic rpm, that kind of thing, mostly for those that come in both basic and advanced.
thanks
thanks
The only difference that I have seen is the values may differ a little between the two if you log both at the same time. This is expected as the PFC and DL speeds are slow and can not record that fast. Example: basic rpm might be recored first and when advanced rpm is recorded later, it might have changed but both are shown on the same line of data.
The more data you record, the smaller the sampling rate will be. You only want to record the minimum needed for the test.
Watches are not needed as the monitor screen has the same info. Watches are extras which slow the system down more as does MAP WATCH.
The more needed data that is logged the more accurate your results will be.
Search my name for my posts about data logging/recording speeds and how they are affected.
This info is not in any manual, it is self learned by experimentation.
