base map question
i dont have a datalogit, and my question is, when going from a twin turbo to a single turbo(apexi rx6) with proper mods and pushing 15 lbs of boost with about 400hp to the crank, can the adjustments be made through the commander with the correction maps?or do i have to purchase the datalogit to adjust the base map?when exactly does one have to start playing around with the base map at around how much hp?i wont be going over 15 lbs.in the manual it says have to make adjustments to the base map when going single turbo, but i was hoping someone can give me some more info..
thanks
thanks
Datalogit and wb make it cake to tune if you have your AFR targets, however, you can tune fuel with just a commander. The INJ map and PIM map can get you to a satisfactory AFR.
The INJ map in the upper ranges can be close to maxing out if you need to add alot of fuel. If you get to that point, you can use the PIM or simply add fuel everywhere with the water temp correction map.
Datalogit is so nice, can change so many settings to improve things a bit. Read this forum and you'll see.
