Is anyone interested in having a VERY good tuner tune your car???
Hey guys, I know this is a little short notice but if anyone is interested Steve Kan is coming to Birmingham, Al do some dyno tuning on the weekend 12/20.
If you dont know who he is I'll just say he is a VERY good and experienced rotary tuner.
If you are interested send me a PM.
He is also familiar with the Power FC among other computers.
Thanks,
STEPHEN

Nah, he's tuned just about everything under the sun, including the Power FC. He tunes alot more than just his car. He told me he even tuned pistons engine cars.
And yes, he runs a Haltec on his car

What's the cost? The hitman from down under is passing through the atlanta area while he's in the states and is going to help us out over here...price is in the $400 range to tune each car....expertise pays.

He is tuning a car for $275 + dyno fee so no matter if it takes him one hour or five hours its $275 + dyno. The dyno is $75 an hr I believe.
Also, while I dont know how him and hitman compare I do know that Steve has a lot of experience and would definatly fall under the "expertise pays" category. I would imagine for our cars that are street driven and under 650rwhp one is probably just as good as the other.

Dang! That is highway....speeds! Makes $150 that I charge down right CHEAP. If I ever decide to quit my day job, I'll have to charge more!
Kudos to THE HITMAN and Pluto for their Haltec work. I have respect for anyone that is on top of their tuning biz and can make cars go fast.
Ask for the full logs and saved maps before each change. Watch them or video it...learn from it.

I'm sending you a PM. But here is the main info. Steve are going to try and do everyone Sat but we have the dyno reserved on Sun as well just in case. It is this weekend 12/21 and 12/22. We have the dyno reserved for all of both days its hard for me to say exactly when someone can hit the dyno cause we dont know exactly how long each car will take. I think for the most part everyone is getting there early and we'll just all hang out most of the day and people can leave as Steve finished thier car....if they want to leave that is haha

Interested in your Tuning Expertise
Tony, I live in Indy, and would be willing to "limp" my car to Columbus OH, for a good tune.
I project a Feb/March timeframe for project completion.
I'm having KD Rotary port a brand new Malloy reman (ordered just last Friday!).
I expect Dave Barninger to deliver the motor to AIM Tuning (Indy) for Shane Benson to swap out in Jan.
In addition to the motor swap, I'll have Shane install Greddy 2-row FMIC, Apex intake (modded to work with 2-row FMIC), new Japan spec twins, 1300 cc bored-out stock secondary injectors, Nippondenso Comp fuel pump, and Apex Power FC.
I'm debating about buying an FC Commander, since hardly any of the tuners use that?
Will I need the commander to do a rough tuning just so I can drive the car safely during the break-in phase? Note that I will plan to run no more than 11 psi from the J-spec twins.
Do you use an FC logit?
Do you use a Chassis or a "butt" dyno?
PM me with the specifics on how you go about tuning a car with my mods (listed above).
