adding mods???
How does a pfc work when you add mods to your car ?? Do you have to send it off and get it mapped out agian or something ??? or does it do everything itself?????

Since it is still a speed-density system, you have to adjust the maps if you change anything that affects flow (intake, turbos, exhaust, etc.) and you want to keep the same A/F ratio. You can tune it on a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor. Most people don't tune it with a wideband in the first place, so you might very well be able to do some upgrades without running lean anyway. All cars are different (even ones with the same parts installed), so if you send the unit out for remapping, they can only get you in the ballpark, and it makes sense for the tuner to give you rich maps so you don't blow your engine. For anything short of a single turbo, you can probably still use the standard base map and just tune with the fuel correction map on the dyno. The bottom line is that you should get the flow parts you want and then go get it dyno tuned for maximum safety and performance. My last dyno tune session netted 27 RWHP over the "mail-order" map that I was running. Tuning is the cheapest way to make power once you have all the basic hard parts.
