93 Rx7 PFC vs 98 Rx7 PFC

My friend wants to sell his to me for fairly cheap, I plan on having almost the exact same mods as him. I'm looking at his PFC but my question is will I be able to buy his? Will it fit in my wiring harness?

The JDM and American market cars had different ecu harness and then the later JDM also went to a 16 bit ECU.

Since you are in Canada, I think yours might be the same as the American cars.

Search this forum for picture of the ecu conectors.
Or just compare yours to your friends.

They are compatible. You just need to get the correct patch harness, I believe you can still find some out there on YAJ.

Which means they are not compatible as it will not fit his wiring harness without an adapter.

Buy the right part for your car and avoid the headache of trying to source a used adapter harness from japan.

The 96-98 PFCs often pop up in the UK where we have more import RX7s than locally delivered units.
