What? I don't recall you asking for FedEx. "Postal Service" here means United States Postal Service, or USPS, the way it was shipped. At the time, we didn't have a FedEx account anyway...I signed up for one just to accomodate the order to Italy, which came after your order was shipped.

Anyway, i noticed something on the bracket. It looks like it that the lowest "cilinder" thats welded to the bracket, is not in a 90 degrees angle, in line with the bracket. i have to measure it to be sure, could be deseptive from viewing angle.
From looking at the belt, the pully is not in line with the main pully and the waterpump pully, its pointing to a point closer to the frontcover. Could be viewing deseptive too. I will take some pictures tonight to show what i mean.
The lowest mounting point for the altenator should be 90 degrees angle welded onto the bracket , right? i will measure that to, tonight
The lower boss may or may not be exactly 90 degrees, but it won't matter. The nature of a rubber v-belt is that alignment need not be very precise. It was jig welded, so they are all the same. Forward and aft alignment is also fine. Just put it on and if you have a problem, I will refund your money.

Fedex was just a example, i always preffer postal services (like USPS) because there is a chance of getting the package without inspection by customs. It takes a bit more time but that's no problem. Shipping was good, i'm not complaining

I will contact you with pictures of the bracket.
Thanks for the fast reply

Mireck emailed me pictures. He wasn't exaggerating; his bracket must have been put in the welding jig wrong. Funny I didn't notice before sending the brackets to powdercoating...after, they come back wrapped in foam to keep them from getting scratched up, so it's harder to spot before mailing. I'm sending him a replacement, of course, and unwrapping each bracket before mailing in the future.

Sorry for doubting you, Mireck!

In the holiday spirit, I will accept more orders at the GB price until December 31st. However, you must order the bracket off our new web site store >HERE<. You can still pay with Paypal or Credit Card...it's all set up for both, with a secure server for payment. I'm still fighting with the shipping module, but those in the US can simply select USPS Flat Rate Box. If anyone has problems with it, let me know. If in doubt, pay with a CC since I can easily adjust the charge before processing if you can't get the shipping calculator to give you a resonable price.

Donnie in Toccoa, GA -- I need an address that the Post Office will accept. The one provided comes up as "An invalid Delivery Address". Emailed you too but thought you might see this first.

Mireck, your replacement bracket is comming FedEx Express...you should have it in 4 or 5 days. They didn't have any affordable options but I promised FedEx so I will eat the $75 shipping cost. Ouch, but we have to make it right...that's our business philosophy.

(14) Dat in San Jose -- Paid and Shipped
(15) Oliver in Norfolk, GB -- Order recieved. Shipping will be $24 USPS Airmail Parcel Post. If that's okay, I'll process your CC. $65 + $25 (turnbuckle) + $24 (shipping) = USD $114.

I just got back from an out-of-town Thanksgiving trip. Your good address came too late to mail it before I left on Wednesday. I will do it today.

You are thinking of the "old" Group Buy. That one is dead. Since the old thread was never deleted, we just added the new GB to the end (somewhere on page 9, IIRC). For a post with the basic details of the new GB look HERE. As you will see, the GB price is $65 including a stock flat-style tensioner. The turnbuckle-style tensioners were a money loser, even when I made them myself at no extra cost, so the new price is $25 each.

If I haven't already processed your payment, I can remove the turnbuckle tensioner from your order (you will still get the flat one). If your payment has been processed, I can try to issue a partial refund on the CC or give you a "store credit" of an equal amount. Just look on our new online store to see what else you can get.

I have the following two orders today:

(1) John in Denver, CO -- payment processed but not shipped
(2) Jessie in San Bernadino, CA -- not yet processed

Are either of those you? If so, contact me ASAP or they will be processed and shipped this afternoon as they are. No refunds after that because all the info is right here in the thread and lazyness is no excuse for not reading the details.

Ah, now that I see your location, you must be Jessie with the San Bernadino, CA. I can hold your order until you decide what to do. Also, I would prefer to send all GB orders by USPS Flat Rate Box, which is 2-3 day service nationwide and half the cost of FedEx 2nd day air, which is what your order specified. That alone will save you $9.02.

Blake,

I just placed my order and paid for the bracket on the website. So if you see one getting shipped out to Rocklin, CA that's me. Just wanted to let you know so you could scratch me off of your list. Thanks again.

The turnbuckle-style tensioner are sold out again but I have a guy making some more in steel. No ETA yet.
