Can you do something similar for the FD comparrison stock vs. aluminum pan?
Am quite interested, would like an idea of shipping to New Zealand 2013.
Thanks
Andrew

Blake, very Innovative products coming from Pineapple Racing, I am Impressed...

Just one question though...with the use of the stock level sensor. Will the oil pan ever be redesigned to accomadate this sensor?

No. The level sensor is not necessary, except for those careless enough not to check their oil level regularly. The oil pressure gauge will alert you to a system failure. If you really do want a level gauge, it would be easy to add yourself by drilling a hole in the side of the pan. But, we are not going to add this feature. Remember, this is a $350 retail ($299 GB price) aluminum pan. FC owners are, by and large, CHEAP. Our FD pan retails for $425 and we can't keep them on the shelves. When FC owners are willing to pay, say, $399, we will consider adding the level sensor mount. Hope that doesn't come across too harsh...my point is that the FC market is for inexpensive, functional and attractive products; not necessarily ones with all the extra bells and whistles.

What are you saying about FD owners?

I got into an FD knowing that parts are more expensive for them, but I have seen a drop in overall prices as of the last 2 years... probably due to more and more competition. But a product like this for the FD.... You can count me in in a few months (2-6 depending on how I do in sales... car sales is fun like that)

I've got my FD pan, and I'm about to put it in this Saturday (Just got back from out to sea). I'm pretty much happy with the whole pan, except the FD pan doesn't look as detailed as the FC ones do, with the pineapple racing logo on the baffle. Hey it's better than stock, and it holds an extra quart of oil right?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. The FC pan is awesome, a very good looking product, and the FD pan is just kind of bland. Granted this is a product designed for function, not form , it would still be cool to have something a little more asthetically pleasing (even if you never see it) when its apparent it can be done. Is this something that came about because the FD pan is being made by a different company (or at least so i remember hearing)? Either way i'll probably put my order in for one in the next couple months, just wondering if i could sway you guys to make one that looks more like the FC pan in the mean time .

also, any better, updated pictures of the FD pan?

Sorry, I haven't had time to take comparrison pics of the FD pan, similar to what I did for the FC pan. The FC pan is definitely more "detailed", if that's the word. We had the capability and decided to make it really cool. We manufacture the FC pan ourselves. The FD pan is manufactured by our partners at Xcessive, so we don't have that much input in the design other than the functional side. If I really pushed them, I could probably get it changed but it's hard to justify when the FD pan outsells the FC pan 4 to 1. As we say around here, FC owners squeek when they walk, so getting any money out of them requires more effort. The FD pans sell themselves.

How long is this group buy going on?? I would also like to know if the POLY mount was redisigned yet as I am going to buy the same mount kit. It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but never updated. I do plan on getting one of these in a couple weeks, but I do need to know so that I dont wast $200 on mounts I cant use. Thanks a lot man!

Man, the FC pan looks freakin awesome. Why are FC owners so cheap? LOL I'm not pointing fingers at those who actually do have the money to modify their cars. It just seems like some FC owners act like 240SX driver, and just bargain shop until a miracle happens.

Its because its all we can afford and don't want to drive a shitty 240 or civic like everyone else.

FYI: The FD pans are temporarily out of stock but we are expecting more later in the week. FC pans are in-stock and in good supply.

I have to halt the GB on the FC pans. I thought we had plenty of the FC pans but when I looked on the shelf today I noticed that you guys have almost wiped out my inventory. I have a few deposits, so I can't sell them all. We do have more being made, however. The FD pan GB will continue.

Yes, and I reminded him about it again just now. FD oil pan, no problem. Flywheel is ordered and on its way to us, so as long as it arrives in time it will be installed on your motor.
