Electric Water Pump. 12A engine

Hi Blake,

I found this in the Pineapple Racing Products thread:
'Electric Water Pump. We are working on a bolt on kit for a Davies Craig Electric Water Pump. The Davies Craig EWP is the only electric water pump proven by winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTS category. 90 and 110 lpm versions are available.'

I’m driving 1st generation RX7 engines and have a Davies Craig Electric (110 lpm) Water Pump.

I want to put it on my car next week to test it under Race conditions (4 hour race).
Therefore I have built an adapter to remove the original water pump.
I'll install your Alternator Relocation Bracket at the same time.
Really hight quality

What about your work on that bolt on kit ?
For 12A engines ?

Thanks for your answer.

A 12A kit would essentially be the same as a 13B kit. Nothing really different comes to mind. Everything before 1986 has just the two WP housing fasteners, while everything following had three...that just means we need two WP housing adaptors. to cover everything from 1974-1995.

Can you post pictures of your setup? I would be interested in seeing it.

Hi Blake,
I've never worked on a 13B engine, only 12A.
We just finished the adapter yesterday.
It is mounted on the engine now, but I did not take any pictures before.
We fixed it at the 2 provided places and added a bracket to fix it with a third bolt.
I'll test it at a 4 hour race on 22.10.2006.
Because I have a lot of work to do on the car yet, I'll take (and post) pictures only after the race.
So I can also report if it worked.

Since those were two of his only three posts ever made on this Forum, I'm thinking he was trying to draw Pineapple out for some reason. My questions is this...what is wrong with the Meziere 12A electric water pump? Isn't that a street electric water pump? Any pics of the PR electric water pump kit yet? Price??

Sorry that you missed me guys :-)

I had a lot of work to do.
Changed to Auto-Cross races with another RX7 for one season and simply forgot this thread.

We tested the Davies Craig Electric (110 lpm) Water Pump with our self-made adaptor only last month in a 4 hour endurance race.

It worked fin.
I still have no pictures yet.

Will do some if I find my old camera back.

On those pictures you can see the adapter fixed to the engine.

You can't see any details, because the pictures were taken to show the car under construction.
But it’s better than nothing.
