Thinking a/b Buick V6T in my '87 TII, need GNX7's help
Gnx7, I need your help man; i'm thinking of the turbo buick swap, but i need info on mounts, oil pans, trannys, fitment, wiring, etc. PLEASE!! ANY help at all; I'm tired of eating 13bt's (no fuel starvation, no detonation, and better maintenance than you can imagine).

All hate aside, i have some things to say and point out;
1) I bought the car, therefore it is mine to do with as I please
2)I love the driving experience associated w/ an FC turbo car, and like most other members, have a need for more power (otherwise, no power mods would exist!)
3) I am a GM ASE technician and have the equipment, parts, and parts hookup i need to complete this swap
4) My respect for rotary engines and their phenomenal power output is unparalleled, and i plan to have a bad *** 1st gen here shortly, so i'm still technically brethren
Help would be appreciated, as would be any experience w/ this swap. Negative comments are from minds who can't visualize. Felix, know anything a/b this particular swap setup?

Granny's Speed Shop and MisRed.com are awesome, but I was REALLY hoping to get GNX7's attention, since he did his own.
BTW, Felix; how hard was the 13bt/1st gen swap? Didn't you do one? I've got a guy that wants me to build a drag monster 1st gen, and i'm trying to talk him into 13b-re/T04E/Spearco setup with a narrowed Ford 9" under it with maybe 4.56 or 4.88's

2 weeks ago I saw a completely stock GN run a 12.5...Not that I would put the engine in an RX-7 or anything, but the GN engine is certainly NOT a piece of ****...

You know, I don't like the idea of replacing the rotary any better than the rest of you guys... but it's pretty tough to top the GN motor as a swap candidate. Not heavy like a V8, tons of power, and nearly bulletproof. That's a hell of an engine.

T2Monster- check your PM I send you all the +/-'s of doing the swap, links (MisRed.com, V8RX7.com), and other info. The swap is worth it.
BlackRX7- When you get a ride in a 2700lb FC with a near stock GN engine making 400ft/lbs tq and over 350hp you will have a change of mind.... and probably need a change of shorts . My car runs 11.60's with minor upgrades and stock GN turbo. With an upgrade of the turbo $700/injectors $225/intercooler $600/downpipe $300/chip $40 a completely stock GN engine (stockheads/cam) it will yield 10 second 1/4 mile times at over 125mph in an FC. Enuf to hang with 750cc superbikes.
Silkworm, Aaron Cake, Felix Wankel, Resto TII, Josepi, Zach Spazz- Thanks for the support as usual and stating the facts. You guys agree with T2Monster and myself.... with this. That the FC is a killer entry level sportscar that with upgrades can waste many cars costing 2-5x as much.
How much you agree with the following info I don't know: The GN engine in an FC at near stock levels makes it very impressive mid/low 11's, and 0-60mph in the low 4 second range if not high 3's! Throw the abovementioned mods and the car becomes downright scary. Different strokes for different folks. The Buick V6 with suspension mods will not offset the FC's crisp handling and nice factory braking system. Any streetable 13BT setup won't be able to touch an even stock GN swap in the FC.
Build your own superbike killer, Vipereater, Vettebasher, Suprakiller, blah.... blah blah. Anyone who is planning to visit San Francisco in the future send me an email and I'll give you a ride in the car and make you a believer in engine conversions for the FC.
Next on my list is going to be a budget TTLT1 swap (355ci, GM forged crank, Crower rods, JE pistons), home ported LT1 heads/intake, using 2 stock GN turbos, the T56 6speed (200mph top end potential), and monster injectors with a FAST/Felpro fuel management system. 650rwhp on the stock GN turbos won't even be a challenge. Swap to slightly larger TE-44 turbos and 1000rwhp potential is there if the heads can flow enuf.
Anyway..... T2Monster... check your PM/email.
A stock block GN engine with a billet main cap girdle ($325), stock balanced crank, rods with ARP bolts, and good pistons ($450) is capable of over 600rwhp. There are a few guys running this setup with stock ported factory iron heads and a T-76 turbo with monster injectors going 9.90's@135mph..... in a 3600lb GN/TType. In a 2700lb FC with better aerodynamics I imagine 145mph-148mph could be possible in the 1/4! You could eat Ari Yallon's car up.... and still drive the car on the street. Monster turbo lag yes.... but you have a car that could eat a Hayabusa factory 9 second motorcycle up. Imagine the look on the MCrider's face as you walk past him at 130mph......
