Rotor motor into a Saturn
Rotor motor into a Saturn
Now we all have opinions on the V8 conversion. I was wondering if anyone has ever placed a rotary into another car? I have a 97 SC2 with all the suspention mods done, would rather convert it then sell it. Anyone ever heard of this being done?
You want to make a Saturn RWD, then install a rotary in it?
...good luck on that one. Start saving for all new suspension mods, at the very least your entire rear suspension geometry would be going away. Installing the rotary in FWD layout would be both difficult and not very effective (transmission mating and other issues). Although trying to put a rotary in a Saturn at all seems rather pointless; there are plenty of parts to make an Ecotec put out better power numbers wiht much better reliability.

The only way you can make an Ecotec produce a shitload of power without blowing is to completely build it up. Though, in GM's defense, there's plenty of parts available (but it's not like a 4g63 that'll make twice the stock horsepower on the factory head gasket).
Still, it'd probably be cheaper and easier to build the Ecotec than to rig up a rotary engine.

I was going to do a rotary in a first gen MR-2, but the exhaust would run straight into the driveshaft without mods.
ive heard of rotary civics, so its not that it cant be done, it would just be alot of customization

Wasn't there a mustang GT, with a rotary swap ? and he was like "Revenge for all the LS1 swaps into FD's" and I was like "Oh sit I got revenged'dd on, what will my friends say ?"
Either way, I applaud you for taking the path less traveled, allought this might look like a rocky, steep path...
