RE TT in FC... who's done it
I bought a 13B RE with ECU the otherday, upon inspection I noticed a few drastic diferences the main one being the rear end plate, does this bolt up to a FC TII tranny ok or do i need a RE / REW specific tranny for it ? I can get an auto tranny for it from the same place, as well as BT and REW trannys but not a RE 5 speed.
Where can I get either an online manual for the RE or a proper mazda manual?
this is going into a 91' FC with the torpedo MAF not the older karmen vortex, do I need to upgrade to a FD MAF ?
What are the differences between the REW and RE ?

Yes MAP based. I really dont know the specifics of the swap, but I am assuming the hardest part may be the wiring, and ECU replacement.The wiring harness goes to the same area of the car, although the FD front harness contains the MAP wiring, and stays with the car.

ok here's the plan so far, tell me if this is going to have problems..
RE with the RE ECU, ( we are trying to find a pinout for it so we can rewire and bypass the auto tranny fnctions), TII 5spd. and MAF.. I was wondering if a JDM company makes an aftermarket ECU for the cosmo, if so I wonder how hard it would be for them to program out functions or make calibration changes..
A E^K would be great, but my problem lies in controlling the OMP, if the E6 or one of those computers has an OMP controller then I'll go that route for sure..
one more theing, since I am going single turbo , removng air pump ( as my new cats pass me on emissions without an air pump) and ACV, i've removed the rats nest al together.. I've asked this before with no real response.. what vac and associated valving HAS to stay ??
