Mounts would have to be Sub $400 and there is no reason for them to be more

The only thing id be interested in is where the shifter lines up

With nissan motorsets, the trannies are long enough to mount in stock location. No cutting or extentions required. SR, KA, RB.....they all line up. You dont have to chop the firewall or any of that ****.

Start a group buy on zilvia, facebook, etc....

RX7 club imo is the wrong place for this kind of stuff. You could pique more interest elsewhere.

Most people on this site only care about rotary or tried and true swaps like domestic v8's and jzx motors.

The rb is like the double edged bastard child of nissan.

Makes good power but the oiling system and typical rb electrical issues are typical. Talk to the guys at raw brokerage. Oil pump gear failure due to the crank snout on both the nics and eccs rb20 is common. Not AS common on the older rb25's but it does happen. The 26's are way less prone to it and rb30 shortblocks are damn near bulletproof. With all the money invested, dollar for dollar the jz series motors are way better. I suppose it depends on where your loyalties and knack lies.

Zilvia and nico club would probably love the swap kit. RB's are sick motors and not everyone wants a 500hp hellbeast, just a cool swap with decent power making for a fun car. I came DAMN CLOSE to buying a FULL rb20 swap off a guy upstate. Said it overheated due to a popped water line on the turbo BUT, he only wanted $300 for all of it. I ended up going with a 3L nissan sixer turbo instead for $50 more and got two gearboxes along with. Not a "complete" swap but the more reliable and potentially powerful engine by far.
