roughly 4 months now and I have all my parts...

Some things I didn't like.

brackets had to be trimmed and cut to fit. Bolt holes enlarged. Some hardware was not long enough. $40 on new misc grade 8 hardware.

Splined yolk for the driveshaft was not included. ($79)

Lower links and rear sway bar are not included in the "deluxe" kit ($2600) that I ordered. These 2 parts have to be sourced out from a 1st gen rx-7. Grant was nice enough to send me the lower links free of charge. I ordered the sway bar on ebay for $40..

Everything else went pretty smoothly. I must say I am happy with the way the finished product looks. I haven't had a chance to drive the car yet. I'll report back after I have driven/raced it.

Even though the whole granny's wait thing is understandable, I think this guy is just one of those guys who is hard to please. I sold him a turbo buick motor setup here a while back, that had a rebuilt-in-2000 3.8 shortblock with TRW forged pistons, edelbrock cam/lifters/pushrods/valvesprings, a pair of bowlported and rebuilt heads w/ new ARP head bolts, a whole fuel injected intake manifold with rail and injectors, and some finned aluminum valve covers for 400 bucks (hell of a deal).... i gave all of the info about the motor, casting numbers, pictures, everything, even all the paperwork from the machine shop that did the rebuild, and he got a good look of everything as we loaded it up..
then, when he got home, he told me it was a n/a motor (I listed all the casting numbers in my FS post, should have looked it up beforehand...... and I had sent pictures of everything prior), and that it didnt have a turbo crank, and that I was "too far away for returns".... all assuming it was a turbo motor to begin with. Then, he makes a post on turbobuicks saying that it was all a "bad purchase"........ when that could have been avoided by looking up casting numbers

Look kid, the thread has nothing to do with you or the crappy engine you sold me so why don't you butt out? If you have a problem with me I'll be glad to solve it anyway you'd like. Send me a PM don't trash my thread with irrelevant info.

I have this problem where if someone tells me something about a motor/part they have I believe them. Don't advertise it as something it's not, and then bitch when the seller complains.

Or in this case if a seller tells me 3 weeks and it takes 4 months this is is also unacceptable.

Don't bother responding to this I won't answer. Send me a PM if you'd like to discuss something.

thanks...

Car drives pretty well, doesn't corner great but thats to be expected.

Went out on a cruise and with the converter locked the GPS read 69.8mph @ 2000 rpm. Everything else seems to be operating well. If I brake stand the car the back end rises up about 4-5 inches. It's a weird feeling but I'm sure it's good for traction once I let the brake loose and romp on it.

All in all I'd say I'm happy with the final product...

Granny's Stuff.

I know a lot of people that have bought stuff from Granny's. IMHO
He's HORRIBLE!
His fabrication sucks. His shipping sucks. He just plain sucks all the way around. If anyone buys from him they are a fool. People like him should not be in business and the people that patronize him just keeps another poke and hope operator in business. Better to see him fall by the wayside.
The statement that was made about COD being the only way to go with him is !))% correct. The problem with that is that even then you may get the parts but you still get ill fitting crap. He's a one man operation NOT a professional setup. Do yourself a favor and buy quality. You'll be better off for it. IMHO enough said!
