GM v6 Conversion Kits our there? 3.4?

I have a '79 RX-7 automatic with a rotory that we can't get running. So we want to throw this 3.4 in it, but can't find a conversion kit. We can find plenty of 350 conversion kits, but we need a GM v6 kit.

Do any of you know where we could find information on this?

Granny's Speed Shop makes a kit for the 4.3 GM V6. It might work for the 3.4. I am not really that familiar with GM V6's.

Post this in the subforum "Other Engine Conversions" and you may get more hits. Folks there do more swaps like this. Also you won't get as much heat for asking.

Thanks all.

I actually feel really bad that I have to get rid of the rotary. I feel like I'm taking the soul out of my car and replacing it with a totally different machine. It will no longer be my "First Year RX-7" that I was always so proud to have.

Now it will be that "Shell of an RX-7".

But I don't have any money, time, or mechanical skills to replace or fix the rotary. The only reason I'm doing the swap is because my mechanic friend owes me $4,000, he doesn't know anything about rotaries, and he has a supercharged 3.4 he said he could put in to help clear out his debt.

So I am a very sad man on this whole deal

b/c they're uber cheap and you don't need a ton of power in a FB anyway.

I coulda sworn Granny made v6 kits for the FB, both 3.4l v6 and 3.6l

check their site again.
