Not that I expect anyone to care, however..
I just got my 4g63t motor reassembled for my DSM last week. Groeden aluminum connecting rods, Ross asluminum pistons all swinging via a butchered 4g64 2.3 stroker crank. Total r/a assembly lightened from 48 to 23lbs. I put her on for some dyno tuning today across the street from work and made 613awhp @41psi of boost with no spray! Just thought I'd share my delightful news with my new rotary friends here.

^ Everything and nothing all at the same time. Oh, and I only know rotaries and V6/V8 motors, not 4 bangers. A 4 cylinder is only half a V8. And 2/3's of a V6. Sorry, had to get that out of my system, I'm sure it's a beast. And, at 48 psi? Wow.

Correction, 41psi. That is on "moderate" boost as I've only done a one hour rough tune. The block has been o-ringed by my friend who works at a very reputable machine shop. Do not fear rotary friends, I also own an high ten/consistent low 11 second LS1 F-body. Sorry about all this 'boinger' talk, I'll be quite before i get beat up

My bad, I've really gotta pay attention to the numbers. An F-body huh? Camaro or Firebird? What year? And, last question: got any pics? Love to see the motor in that bad boy, too.

They are giving you some latitude because you are new and also own a rotary. It's when the talk starts in the 1st gen specific about a LS1 in a 7 that the flame wars start, lol.
That's why there is a separate section for that.
Is that motor in a 1st gen Eclipse? And are you running aftermarket cams?

85 FB, It is a 2001 black/black WS6 (Firebird). I will have to get pictures..shame on me. This is a recently new computer and the car has been in storage for the past five months. I soon will be ditching the LS1 and getting a LS6 iron bare block and doing a 422 stroker with 600hp dual stage nitrous. 200/400 shot. I will let you know how it goes if anyone is interested, however I realize this is not the forum to discuss these vehicles. If I get positive input then I will consider sharing it with you all, I'd love that.
Doc, it is a 1st gen 6 bolt bottom end in a 1995 GSX. I will be transplanting it to my 90 GSX when that car is finished (tube frame front end drag car-- full sheetmetal interior.) I will share the new dyno numbers with you all once again if interested once i tune for higher boost + the 300 shot of nitrous. And no, I am NOT joking.

Is that bike of yours stock?
Sounds like a sweet car.

I'd like to see that WS6. I've always been a fan of the Ram Air models, they have a mean look to them. And, you're a true power monger. That's awesome. I love looking at high power vehicles, altho I prefer it to be a muscle car.

85 FB, the Ram Air is cool however people have a common misconception of it. Not saying you, but alot of the young kids. I always inform them you must be moving to the beat of 497mph to achieve a 1psi boost . I don't move at 497 this is not Bonneville. And 150, the bike is a 2006 Yamaha R6..and Ricky Carmichael aka the Doctor is the ****! Lol, yes it is stock as far as performance. However, she moves out with a 17,500 redline.

I haven't seen aluminum rods in an engine since... well, I found a box of parts that used to be in a full-drag 427 Hi-Riser.
Just curious.

Wow, that is a nice bike. And, the only conception I had of the Ram Air was that the dual nostrils were open to allow fresh air into the air filter assembly, netting better power gains. Cause we all know that forced air is better which relates to better air/fuel mixture. The more air, the better.

Yeah the ramair part is more or less for fresh air and not boost lol. I dont care how functional it is, It just looks cool. I think that was what pontiac thought too. I actually like the camaro better all years till 98, than the T/A is the ****. I would be driving a 2000 ws6 right now if my grandpa was in town to cosign for a loan for me, but it was sold by the time he got back But now im stuck with my 2001 mr2 spyder. lol. Trying to sell it so i can have an FC rex

Slayer, you are incorrect. There is a functional air lid assembly snouted directly behind the nostrils.
Peejay, the purpose of the aluminum rods is for strength as well as to lighten the rotating assembly. This car is only making 613awhp on a rough tune, no nitrous, low boost. I plan to be replacing rod bearings every winter since aluminum is being used. The motor will be seeing near 1000awhp with the juice as it is a close 8-second car. Please don't ask for a timeslip because as I said, close, as I am waiting for the track to open to net that time.
85 FB, I appreciate the nice words.

Isphius, I'm not talking about boost, I'm speaking of forced open air. The nostrils on the WS6 and the scoop on the SS Camaro are there to provide more air into the intake as the vehicle speeds up. This relates to more horsepower because of it. This I know as a fact and as experience.
Open forced air always equals better horsepower. It's not a lot, but it helps. Plus, it's open air, versus restrictive. Always a good thing.
Ray - When you get a chance, snap some photos of that WS6. I really love the last WS6's when they got that fascia update and had those "fake" nostrils under the hood. The entire front end look nasty. But, I love the Firebirds. And, them in black, makes them even nastier.

wow thats amazing, i would have never thought that anyone would use aliminum rods. i wouldnt think that would be strong enough with 40+ psi. but congrats none the less. and even though its not a rotary, i can appreciate your work and compassion.

Despite peoples belief aluminum rods are some of the most durable light weight, most sought after material for straight line racing. The major downside as I see it is how hard they are on rod bearings. I will be replacing the bearings every season so this is of no concern to me. The next dyno pulls we are looking to achieve ~50psi or a little more. Once that is done I will be selling my turbo setup, refabbing it and shooting for more boost till the motor lets go, and do it all over again! I appreciate so much support from a rotary forum!
