Talking Mazda BP-T swap into a miata

Has it been done with the mazda BP-T.. I'm just intrested b/c I'm thinking of a future project ,but what to stay with mazda

Its a 1.8 liter mazda engine that was turbo charged.

Head over to the engine swap section of the Miata.net forums for the full scoop, but here's the basics:

LS1 into Miata? Check
Ford 302? Check
13b? Check

Various turbo'd 1.8 engines? Check

However, the usual FWD turbo motors (323GTX, etc.) are a poor choice for transplant into a miata because so much of the supporting hardware (intake & turbo manifolds, etc.) are designed for transverse not longitudinal mounting. The blocks are the same, but the peripherals are different enough that its usually easier to aftermarket-turbo the existing motor.

The good news is that since the blocks are the same (with the piston oil squirters, etc.) that they respond VERY well to forced induction.
