It's not my S14/15, I have an FC, hence my existence on RX7Club. I was just quoting the pic to compliment the gentleman whom it does belong to on a job well done.

iron is alot heavier than aluminum. mystery solved.

...when did I say it looked any MORE like an R33 then an S14? I said I liked the similiarity the S15 (pictured) had with the GT-R cars; I also like the similiarity an S14 has; the two statements aren't mutually exclusive... does somebody need a hug?

i fail to see the relationship between an s15 and an r33.. the front is obviously unrelating while the lines on the s15 are insanely agressive compared to the r33..

base s15..

r33 gtr..

the only way i can see what you're talking about is if you're referring to the s13/s14 body compared to the r33..

rps13.. body similarity

s14 zenki.. very similiar in the body and head lights

s14 kouki.. body similarity

zenk u =]

also.. theres no such thing as an s15 240sx.. all s15 were made only in japan and contained an sr20.. you know.. sr.. the series of the engine.. and 20 being the displacement.. 2.0 liters.. the 240 name is used for the ka24 being 2.4 liters hence the name for the s15 is called a silvia 200sx.. =] there are very few minor changes.. such as the 180sx (rps13) which was called 180 for the first few years when it held a ca18.. when they switched to the sr20.. they still kept the name 180sx.. i dont know why..

i was a nissan head at one point =]

i wasn't being belligerant, so calm down. it was an honest question.

the car you complemented is not a s15. it is a s14 with a s15 front end.

the stock s14 zenki (with round headlights) that gabe put up looks far more like a r33 than a s15 faced s14, or a stock s15.

anyway, you answered my question. it was just a misunderstanding of nissan generations. as gabe noted, there is no such thing as a s15 240sx. that body generation never made it here. if you see that front end running around in the states, its usually a front end conversion.

Nope buddy, sorry. The Silvia was never called the "Silvia 200SX," you're confusing markets there.

actually.. it was.. in japan.. all the so called silvia's were called 200sx's.. in europe the titles were different.. the 180sx was later changed also to the 200sx and the market for the silvia's were just silvia's.. the silvia class was consider just silvia but the registration will list 200sx.. over here.. the 200sx title was given to the older s12's along with the some sentra's.

also.. all japanese market places will list the silvia 200sx rather than just silvia.. and then they list the chassis codes..

The only market I've ever even heard of a 200SX in is the Australian market. Feel free to present some links to back up your claims.

You know what, I'm just going to have to call bullshit on this one. The 180SX was called the 180SX because it had the CA18 in it, and that was the only engine to come in the 180SX, which was the hatchback, popup headlight version of our 240SX.

Have you ever been to Japan? I have, and I never saw any 200SX's.
