FL KA RX7 Drift Project.

Building a KA24E Swapped RX7,
Plan on putting it on Boost,
Before I get flammed out the ***, I got the motor and the car cheap and it's a super easy motor to replace, anyways, time to start the build pics, If anyone has done this swap and or know someone who has done the swap feel free to contribute information.

I guess let the hate begin.

The KA

Pulling **** out.

painted the valve cover

Radiator out

All Wires ready to go, engine ready to be lifted.

Waiting on a buddy to bring me a hoist now.

Can't wait to drift this bucket!

update

Update

Was a little lazy today didn't get much done. I'm waiting mainly on the cherry picker to come find it's way to my house so i can get fitting. I played around with the drive shaft a little and went to Walmart to blow my gift card i got for Christmas on spray paint.

Who can figure our the color scheme?

struggling with the driveshaft and tranny mounts, my mount is all funny.

My single cam ka hit 350k before I sold it. Thing was a beast. Mine was in a 4x4 hardbody good luck with your cheap build, should be fun and have a bit of torque

Worst to worst? Its a drift car, KA24e's are great for that purpose. I have to initiate 15mph faster than a friend with a single slammer s13 because he has enough bottom end tq to keep the tires spinning(i am n/a). The cars "soul" was removed before he even got the car, he is making it better. Maybe not the best engine for the amount of work needed to get it running, but those engines are just so forgiving to neglect.

S5 motor swap would've netted you the extra torque in the powerband.... or ya need to reduce weight in the car or anything! lol

Hell an S4 motor with a header and exhaust would spank a single cam KA anyday of the week

But good on ya for doing it I guess..... the only thing more finicky than 20 yr old electronics i s a 20 yr old carb lol

I've actually considered doing a dual cam swap in an FC. Looking forward to see how this goes!

Doing a grat job man, keep up the build! Later on get a SR20!!!

Let him do whatever swap he wants, its HIS car. We all dont have deep pockets and just the fact that he is tackling a motor swap is a feat itself.

WTF?? You NEVER let the girlfriend take something in a break up. Where's your man card dude? If my girlfriend broke up with me the only thing I would let her take is the crap she keep at my house hahaha. Let alone an engine.
