well i just got a 13b twin turbod motor out of a jspec fd with tranny, ecu, harness everything, wat all would need to be done to get it running and working in a fc.
Here is the run down.
Get a motor mount adaptor for the REW engine, toss the wiring harness along with the ecu and get a FULL standalone. Bolt up the engine to the stock T2 drive train. And get a Good Tuner.

i already have the motor mount adapter kit in my hands that the kid gave me with the motor, but my intentions is to keep the stock ecu out of the fd and the wiring harness, personally i think thats the best way to go, ive learned to hate standalones, the car will never ever run perfect, just perfect for the whether u tune it 2. and im wanting this to be my daily driver. and y wouldnt i be able to run the fd tranny with a t2 rear end as long as i get a custom driveshaft.
As far as standalone, I am under the impression that most won't control the stock seqeuntials and therefore they will have to be operated in parallel. I will say that I have a Microtech on my GSL-SE/TII swap and so far I am very impressed. I am still running the base tune on it that it came with from Microtech and it fires up, idles, and works good running as high as 14psi. I have run it this way for about 3 months with numerous trips to the track and street races. The only reason I am having it tuned is because I am adding water/meth injection and want to put in some bigger injectors so I can rev higher.
Don't you already have the T2 drivetrain? If so, bolt it up. If not, then bolt up the REW's tranny. Take your car to driveshaft shop and get a drive made one for you. As for a standalone, I would recommend it. RREV motorsport is in Portland Oregan, then can tune just about anything. They can do the installation too if you want too. Im just saying...
The stock ecu and harness has too much limits and it too stress to sort out the wires to run on oem set up.
Good luck.
no i dont have the t2 drivetrain, thats y im trying to round up the rear diff right now, which tranny is actually better thow, the t2 tranny or the fd tranny. also im on a pretty tight budget right now so theres another problem and thats y i want to run stock. RREV can basiclly tune anything, in fact they just tuned my brothers evo and there good people just alot of money.

Limits are as follow: RPM cut, Speed cut, Fuel cut, non adjuctable fuel/ignition maps, no 2step(if you want to drag your car), Stock boost, old raggedy harness, etc.
If you already have the FD tranny- use it.
