FC 2.3T Hood Clearance Fix?
So who has photos of what they did to make the ford 2.3T fit in the FC. Any confirmation that a TII style scoop will cover up what must be cut out?
I am looking at doing this swap but I want to know exactly what hood fix is needed before I undertake the purchases. I am aware a bulge is needed, I want to see pics though. I want to keep this looking as stock as possible as I do not want a huge cowl hood.
Thanks,

I'm getting close to getting the engine in my 88 vert. I'll let you know what it looks like when the time comes. At this point it looks like I will need approximately 2 inches of clearance both at the cam sprocket and at the point which the turbo goes over the valve cover. I had to raise the engine a good 1/2 to 3/4 inch to clear the power steering rack, but everything else has fit nicely. If I would have rotated the upper intake I probably could have saved clearance over the valve cover, but I don't mind a small cowl. At any rate, I'll try to let you know. Let me know how your project is going.

Well when I spoke with Grannys I mentioned to them about using the TII hood scoop and cutting it out then welding it centered up on a regular alum. hood. Either that or they said I could lower the whole subframe with some shims, but to me I would rather put a scoop on the hood.
I have also read rumors of being able to notch the hood support and the motor will clear just fine. So really, I am at a loss I guess until I actually do it myself.
