91 RX7 to 2.3 turbo swap with pics in process

ok so know one here really knows me but this site is a huge help....i want u all to know all feedback is welcome... so far the car is a 91 rx7 cnv i paid 500.00 for originally to do a ls1 swap....well that being said i hade a change of finances and spent that money on a house...i started some research wanting to do vg30 swap and fell into the 2.3t and liked how well they are built and easy power and still very reliable after a lot of research i bought a running driving 86 turbo coupe for less than the rx7 and went and drove it 130 miles home the turbo coup was so clean on the exterior i almost did not tear it apart....car drove great with out even a hint of any problems....so now i have the grannys motor mount kit and the motor sitting on the ground changed the clutch and made the bracket for the cable to hydro conversion....parts i am waiting for merkur engine brackets as soon as they show up its going in the car at last....waiting for my stinger manifold to get here as the stock t3 has some play and broken exhaust bolts that will not come out and so i will install my precision turbo off my 12 sec crx and also going to use the waste gate Bov and intercooler.....waiting for the driveline to show up also....i am using a 88tc harness and la3 to run the rx7....ok enough typing for now hope u all enjoy the slide show....Erick

FINALLY a update....i took about 4 steps backwards last friday night ......i found out the intercooler i have is a 6" too wide and i can't mount it anywhere and the way the aftermarket manifold wastegate exit sits i have to seriously modify the one i have to dump anywhere in a good area.....so running low on cash i make a decision get the damn thing so it can at least be driven until i can afford a few more parts...so i then rip off the turbo and manifold and put the stock manifold and T-3 back on and hook it back up non intercooled and hack the downpipe off the donor car......so saturday its going along ok i put the drivline in and bleed the brakes put coolant in it start bleeding the clutch and i have a bad clutch slave cyl and it goes out but not back in..it destroys my slave bracket and i need a break......so here it is today i pound my bracket back into form and weld on an additional piece as i figured if it bent once it will do it again and i found a slave on a 90ish mazda b2200 for free so i reinstall the bracket and figure out the slave input for the line points down so i route the hose a little different and bleed it so it holds and i have a pedal and i fire it up and will not go into gear i adjust the rod for 20 min and i'm good now well i found out before this the throttle linkage is too short and i robbed it from the donor car and i take the old linkage out of the rx and the ford one falls perfectly in place so the car starts and runs and the trans works so tomarrow late i should see if it will drive after i install a seat and the wheels....the car is nowhere near done but it should be drivable and then i can figure out all the gauges and the speedo i have most of the gauge stuff figured out just have to run some wires....i'm going to have to put the battery in the back i believe.....ok enough for tonight i will update in a couple of days.....P.S. this swap is not for beginners its time consuming and **** just does not bolt up how u might think even with the "bolt in kit" and always get a donor car
