why do you say that? i hear they are really reliable and powerfull motors. plus, a friend of mine had one in a tc pushing 20 psi daily, never had a problem. plus stuff for the motor is cheap.

I'm just messing with you.

It's just the fact that it's a German Ford. I mean that's like an oxy moron all in it's self.

I'm sure it's a good engine, Well have to see some dyno sheets on it, once you get it running.

Also, after looking at some of those pictures more, what are you going to do for a tranny mount? I'm just curius to see how you do it.

theres a couple different things ive been thinking off. a guy on the forum who did this before used some angle-iron and bolts it to the stock tranny mounts, then made a "frame" to attach it to the tranny. my dad has a 4.3 in his fc, and they way the kit he has mounts the tranny is by a metal brace going from each side of the floor (between the frame rails). lack of a better word . i might do that. maybe i should take some better pictures. if i can find the time tomorrow im going to mess with the mounts to see if i can mount it in there. right now its just kinda.. sitting there.

Well this is just what I am doing, but me and my brother are makeing a K brace that welds inbetween the 2 frame rails. The draw back is that it will make the tranny a pain to pull, or at least harder than the stock one.

I was thinking about doing the opposite to a duall courier, rather then make it turbo, drop in a 13b and set it up like that. But I do like what you did, those engines are rather cheap these days and have a lot of potential.

i've actually seen a few Gen I Rx-7s with this engine in them. they ran pretty hard! i don't know if any of those people are on the board if you need tips, but i'm sure you'll have fun when you get it together.

for any one interested in dropping the a ford 2.3 with a t5. im having some one make me a extra motor mounts and transmision mount and a little something for the slave cylinder. so tobe able to keep the stock rx7 slave cylinder instead of payin $85. -$160 for one since no one else provides that part im a strong boliver in ingenering your ride to your need and wants not the fab i love the fc body and i rotor but its not pratical as far cost for me so whatever set up you go v8 straight 6 v6 inline 4 v4 volvo made a v4 more power to you and keep the rx alive

freaking sweet swap. those motors run forever and make great power when you really start to tweak on them. +1 for hella cheap parts too.
