What engines have successfully been put into a 1st gen rx7 other than a v8?

Sorry let me rephrase. I know anything can technically be done. What NON-ROTARY swaps have you guys seen done on these. Actually seen them done or have a link to a site that did it. I have a shell. I am looking to make it drift as easy as possible. I have nothing against rotary's but im tired of rebuilding them and working on them.

G54B Mitsubishi Starion motor bolts right up if I remember correctly (Friends G54 powered mightymax had an RX7 trans in it) And it can put down a TON of power fairly easily.

Saw one in a boneyard once that had a straight six out of a 240z in it; confused the hell out of me for a few seconds.

Not sure if that qualifies as "successfully," though, lol.
