Was your clutch slipping in third gear?

 

are you running the r-154 trans,? if you are how did you get the shifter to work, i'm about 3" short of the hole in the floor

 

hey man i am doing a 1jz swap to my 91 fc I need some tips on what need modified with the motor an transmisson mounts could u help me out

 

Yeah so im only running it on 3psi now !!

Saving up for the OS Giken Twin Disc & R154 (50% there)
Ohhh yeah and im taking out the 4.10 ring and pinion
and throwing on the 3.90 ring and pinion for a little more breathing room
on the highway

So yeah its slipping, But not for long!

 

those r154 can handle alot of abuse, i got one in my 7mgte supra

 

about ur shifter being to short u can get a hold of 2jzswap.com and they can make u one for a decent price

I finally took out the W58 N/A Supra tranny.. & the original clutch that i put in the car over a year and a half ago..







No oil leaks! I love 1J's..

Its time to make some power..R154+OS Twin Disc to put the power to the ground.





I will post some more pictures this week as i get the tranny and put it up on the car to mock the tranny mounts.. Stay tuned..

hey man nice job. r154s are said to handle up to 700-800hp at the wheels.... Duane with his 800+hp 7M still uses his stock r154 and he drives it to hell in the vids that he drives it in. i was conteplating on whether i should go 1jz swap...but i got a pretty great deal on a 88 vert with a T2 swap already done to it. so i guess i'm gonna try it out. but once anything major happens, its 1jz with my tax money next year.... o yea, i called u up cuba and talked to u about the swap for a bit. I'm the guy that had 7 mk3 supras and just bought 2 FC'swithin 2 weeks haha. keep us updated on wat else u do with the ride man.
