The driver's side valve cover does not looked like a 2JZ-TE one.
The motor fit pretty well in there though.

Looks very nice! What intake manifold are you going to use? Our's is one of the best for the 2j motor. Let me know if you need one......btw, i'm referring to the Virtual Works unit.

One question......what widebody is that? I like it alot. I've got the Msports on the front and rear of mine so i can fit some larger slicks or dr's......whatever the case may be.

Good job and good luck on the car.

It looks like the RPS or HKS since they look very similar.....could be wrong though.

That's what I thought. My friend is doing a 1jz swap presently in the same chassis.

Actually, it belongs in the "Other engine conversions" section. The "Single turbo Rx-7's" section is for threads regarding single turbo rotaries.

Regardless of where it belongs, very nice project!

thanks for all the posts...
the car has the pettit wide body fully molded in. 2 friends of mine did all the body work.
as for the engine. the k member/cradle was fabed buy joey keyman owner of excessive autosports. he is doing the swap and all the custom work to the car.

and as for the on going argument of how people think the 2jz is soooo much heavier than the 13b. the 2jz weighs only 100lbs more with trany and motor than the 13b with trany! and iv taken out more than 100lbs in unneeded crap form the front end. so all you people who think these engines are "heavy" ur wrong! lol look at it this way....i took out a no torque making 13b and put in a tq monster 3.0 I6.

Besides the engine and tranny, what do the conversion hard parts run? Anything special needed to have the engine low enough for the hood to close? What's an approximate cost on a complete conversion like this?

This post isn't about you. If you don't have anything positive to add, then don't post. It isn't hard. Start your own hate thread. We really don't want to hear it.

Thats the way i feel about it as well. But its different strokes for different folks. This thread does not benifit the single turbo rotary section in any way. Thats why i said it diddnt belong in this section.
