did you ever talk to your friend about making another subframe?

also, on C16 wouldn't a turbo that size be closer to 1100 than 900?

as for the cost. i have a ton of mods added to my $$...but if you did just a stock motor you would be looking at around 10-12k that would take car of everything.
in nearing the 30+k right now. thats with all the body work n performance.

Most Supra's that are built right with that turbo are in the mid 900's to low 1000's on C16. We've made anywhere from 975-1035rwhp with that turbo on a built motor and C16. In all honesty i think we have the highest rwhp for that particular turbo on a non-stroker 2jz......at least the last time i cared to look we did.

mine is the 102mm comp wheel. makes the most power out of the gt42's titan and horsepowerfreaks all tell me a lil more than 1200 on c16

The biggest is the GT42-76 and that's the one we made the 1035rwhp with. That's also the turbo i have on my rx7. It might be quite possible to make a little more but i don't know how much. When Titan and HPfreaks said it would make 1200......they were referring to crank hp i take it?

Look on Turbo Mag's website under Virtual Works and it should pull up all the cars that have been on the covers. The shop car was on last months cover. The one that made 1035rwhp is a white one and it was owned by Garth Weaver. There is also quite a few videos all over the web with it beating Busa's and all else it came in contact with.

Beautiful car especially the widebody! But the 2JZ-GTE is very heavy, alot more so than even the LS1 because of the iron block and all the turbo equipment - but who cares you are getting 500 more horsepower no problem right?

He stated that the 2JZ-GTE w/ tranny is ~100 pounds heavier than the 13B w/ tranny. However, I would be more concerned with where the weight is placed. The engine is longer than a 13b and V8, so it's putting more weight towards the nose of the car. Is it enough to make a diffrence?! Who really knows, but personally, I think it will. Time will tell though!

I know I know, but I think this weight balance thing has gotten a bit out of hand here(yes I am quite blasphemous today) I much rather take a 55/45 distribution that is 100 pounds less..but hey thats me just liking better braking and quicker suspension reaction with better front end bite..(CNs lighter is better)

I wont argue this swap its extremely unique and im extremely jealous of it. I dont think any car with close to 1000hp though is ment to do laps around a track unless it is heavily prepared to handle the power..

another thing that everyone seems to forget is that if you are really really concerned about 50/50 then add balast to the back of the car or where ever you need it...problem solved.

It is not as much about weight distribution as it is about increasing the polar moment even though they often go hand in hand

Bitching project btw.

Did you have to relocate the steering rack?
