That's a sad story. Your car is almost identical to my Rx-4. I can guarantee it's not yours though. Mine was originally a red car.

Bought this new in '81, had it more than 20 years (300k)...getting down to almost 2,000 lbs.

'81s are 50 lbs lighter than any RX7s @ 2,250. You can feel every pound you take out.

My '73 RX2 bought in '74, sold it to Mike Johnson when he was 18 in '82. It was his first rotary and first rebuild.

The wheels were by Rocket, Cragar style with deeper dish 13 x 5.5

What was the colour called on your Rx-4? I think that silver is the same colour that was used to paint my car.

The RX4? That was Jackal Brown...almost taupe. The scanned 30 year old photos didn't convey
the plain metallic look very well. Later it was a Ford chocolate metallic.

The RX3 was Angel blue, a very light metallic silver blue.

The RX2 was silver.

This one is one that got away. Jim Tanner gm at Racing Beat offered me this yellow 2 his dad bought new. 2,500.00 and absolutely showroom mint ('95) At 95,000 miles the only non stock part was RB ignition wires. Is the owner on this forum?

Just bought this. 88 Maxda rx7 Turbo II 103,000 original miles. Need new water pump, belts, and battery. Paid $500 for it. Runs and drives but needs work. Been sitting a garage for over a year. This a picture of the car when I got it. Sorry don't have any pictures of the car clean yet.
