here is a pic of my 72 RX2 when I first bought it...black and had a 6 port Dellorto set up. Very standard. The bottom pic was at BATTLE OF THE IMPORTS from the early 90s! I ran in the 16 sec bracket!



and here is the car after I painted it, put a roll cage in and a new motor etc...I raced for the last time in 1997.

 

so what happened to it now?

 

gone gone away....I sold it and never saw it again.

 

ALL ORIGINAL 1972 MAZDA RX-2 WITH 66,800 MILE WITH PLASTIC COVERS STILL ON THE DOOR PANELS.




AND STILL HAVE IT

 

It's been 8 months since I got the RX-2 and some progress has been made. Here are some pics of what it was and the current condition it is in.

Seriously, where do you guys find these cars? I look everywhere and can never find anything but 7's. Dammit.

 

you aint looking hard enough. When you find one, things will change. then when you see a SA/FB/FC/FD, think of them as parts car.

 

The only way I seem to be able to find them is when a local rotorhead finds one for next to nothing, then wants to sell it for 100x more so they can afford parts for their 7's. Bullshit.

No big deal Wacky. Sure wish there were more old skools on the street here in SD. Nothing beats prowling the streets with a few dueces threes or fours like back in the day with all the 510's, capris and z's scared of us. At least up there you guys can roll out a bit. Plus between you Arnell and Jerry, you've got some of the nicest ones on the street. When I go to a meeting here, I'm always the only old skooler there. Oh well...keep mashin. T
