the 2's i owned had the round tail lights, which i prefer.

anyway.. $90k zomg!!!!1!!
I had a 74 coupe here in CA,they actually look pretty good when you fit them with the small pre-73 bumpers.

twin headlights?

also, i see old mate got $17.5k for the stock coupe.

anyone hazard a guess at how that compares to typical US prices? seems like a good deal to me.

probably would've gone for more in Oz.

whoop! $17k.. i dunno, the parts alone would be worth double that, surely. maybe you're forgetting about that rear camera? ha ha

ok 17,025.00 , the camera had to go for 50.00 brand new on e bay . My friends and I have a theory on new parts : once you build a car and drive it all the parts are used . Unless the parts are rare and/or vintage they are worth half . If I bought the black rx2 the first thing that would go are those terrible wheels , and now they are worth half of what he paid for them 200.00. I looked on e bay and the black car is not listed anymore , he must want to keep it .

about the only option is to keep that thing, drive it and enjoy it. it's a tough way to learn that 'fixing up' a car in this way is not an investment.

you're right about the new parts, non-standard anyway, once they're in, they're worth next to nothing and will probably devalue an old car.

i think the wheels kind of represent what the the dude was trying to achieve with the overall character of the car: a classic with modern aesthetics. i mean, the interior.. good work, but misplaced effort.

the rear cam? let's all just agree to disagree!! ha ha.

note: j/k, i think the cam is the &*$#ing dumbest thing, ever. i will not agree to disagree on this.

most cars are sold after they are completed, because nothing is left to "fix" on the car.

then the owners tend to put down a list of everything they bought, realize they spent a shitload of money and try to get the majority of what they invested.

as i said, use it for a coffin. a very expensive one. or drive it and enjoy it, like you're driving a brand new Bentley(even though you're not).

it just makes my head hurt seeing people do this stupid ****. why even build a car? go buy an RC car and mod the **** out of it, make it super fast. at least when you're done you're only out maybe a grand. most all cars out there are the worst investments you will ever own, so why go nuts? unless you are adamate about keeping your ****. if it's a divorce forcing sale, sell it to a family member who isn't going to stab you in the back.
