worth doing.

I am thinking about getting my stock RX2 on a dyno.
what do you guys think. it would be about 85 bucks
for three pulls. It would jsut be nice to see where a
stock RX2 really is instead of what Mazda said back in
the 70's. If i do i will be sure to get it all on video so you
can hear the wind of the fan, and maybe the POP of the
motor as it blows, JK. i really hope it wouldn't blow.
Since i dont have a air pump hooked up cause the dang
thing is rusted stuff, I am thinking that i shoudl get a dual
belt alternator pully, that way it is more like stock with 2
belts going. what do you think about that. or should i leave
it as it is. Well let me know your thoughts. Lates matt22

If you want to dyno the car just to get a sheet with a graph and numbers I'd skip it. If you want to fine tune your car and optimize spark timing or WOT mixture then I say go for it. I'd read the previous threads on dyno testing/tuning and make sure the car is running very well before you show up.

well i want to get a base line of where my car is. so once i start adding things IE, race header and full exhaust, or a new carb i can see results, and once i get the new carb i would tune it out on the dyno. I know one of the guys that works there maybe he will cut me a deal. but thanks for yout thoughts Josh, do you have an old schooler? or were you jsut checking out this section. lates matt22
