cool it is coming out.. I saw those electrical box's and do not know what those are for either... Is that part of the system? or?

That's what's known in todays terms as a charcoal cannister. It filters the gas fumes from the tank. Rip it out, your car is smog exempt, or at least here in Cali it is. As for the two boxes. I think one controls the rear heater element. I don't know what the other one is for. It may be something for the radio, etc.

Yes and no, the frist guss yes fumes, the second guss no, under the air filter lid was the vaper retention and both where perged when the engine was started. yep I took mine out too.

Could rig that up into a surge tank for the fuel system if you ever plan to autocross or solo1. I don't know how that plastic would hold up to fuel tho.

Edit: nevermind it looks like its metal... interesting.
