various pics of rim choices on my rx2

well lie it says here are a few different rims choices i have. let me know whta you guys think.oh and btw i was being lazy and only took pics of what it would look like on one wheel, and i jsut realized that i could have been more consitant with ride height. oh well enjoy. lates matt22

a set of 4x100 rims i have, 16x7 kinda on the heavy side, would need $140 adapters, but would leave options open for some miata rims or other lightweight rims.

Here are my Libre rims. not sure if i want to use them, I would need to source some special lug bolts , they are pretty light and look very 70's bolt pattern seems to span 4x107 to maybe 4x114.5

My stock rims with hub caps and dope trim rings, boy i do need new old school trim rings,

there you are. other options i am considering are, the first gen Special edition rims, that mesh style, i had the 15x7 mesh style deep dish rims but they were unfortunatly sold along with my 808. I also might opt for a 4x114.5 adapter to put on the RX7 GSL-SE sunrise rims. or 323 GTX rims. i could get a set of each for a very reasonable price i think. lates matt22

Personally, I like the Libres. Wish I had a set for the Opel (4x100). Clean them up, respray the spokes dark grey or semi'gloss black (not flat black).

The multi-spokes would be ok, but in my opinion, the 16"s are too tall. Poor tire to wheel to car ratio. 15"s would be more balanced.

I too love the Panasports, but they're so freakin' expensive. I've been trying to track down various 4x110 15" wheels lately with not much luck.

I'd either go for the multispokes or a set of Panasport clones. I had some clones on my RX-7. They were a little heavy, but I didn't care. It was 1/3 the price. http://www.performancewheels.com.au/

Ditto. As for the special lug bolts, just get some studs, and old school mag lugs w/shanks that go into the wheels.
I also vote for dark gray or black on the spokes, and polish the lips. Or spend the time involved in polishing the entire wheel, I had a set of polished wheels like that, many, many moons ago, on a 63 Impala 2dr.

well ideally, i like the idea of getting some miata rims, ther nice looking but kinda heavy 5 spoke style. or getting a 5 lug adapter done and get the 91 rx7 coupe rims, (another 5 spoke style) but i guess it will all depend on what brake system i go with. cause ther doesnt appear to be much clearence with the libre rims. i will try them on a frist gen and see if they clear the rear disc's ok. I jsut thought it would be sweet to have different choices, and going with a 4x100 pattern i can get more modern rims pretty cheap. jsut to cruise in, but yes some panasports would look bitchin' boy i need to hurry up and win the lottery so i can buy all that i want for my rx2. lol
thanks for you imput though. matt22

restore the Libres, they are period correct.

i would never reccomend using adaptors, adds another point of failure to a very important part (wheel). who checks for cracks on their wheel adaptors or retorques them?

I think its like 50-75 buck a rim around here....I can find out for sure if you'd like, they've been widening steel wheels for decades...never heard of a problem, just go to a reputable shop.....**** the 6" ers....at least 7 and 7.5's....polish the **** out of the rim and color match the center....it would look sick. I'll try to get some pics up of my friends "stretchies"
